About the Artist

Deb Silbert has enjoyed a successful career as a technology systems analyst exercising her left brain’s attention to detail while leaving her right brain, where creativity and intuition thrive, eager to be heard. This led her to photography, an advocation requiring strength in both hemispheres.

Four years ago Deb got her first camera and quickly mastered the technicalities and intricacies of photography by studying with masters, seeking mentors, and immersing herself into the world of a professional photographer.

Learning to see the light, capture the emotion, and create an image that evokes the true essence of a person, place, or thing, is her right brain in full bloom.

As a mother of four grown children, Deb is intimately aware of all the nuances and emotions surrounding  pregnancy, childbirth, infancy, toddlerhood, adolescence and young adulthood.  She specializes in maternity, infant, and family portraiture and enjoys being a part of the milestones in each family’s life.  She has a home-based studio in the upscale West End of Richmond, Virginia, and also shoots on location.

As a custom photographer Deb focuses on excellence in quality and service during all phases involved with delivering amazing images.
